Our investing strategy involves one or more of the following:

1. We generally make investments in the $500,000 to $3,000,000 dollar range. We sometimes take on larger deals as the lead investor and syndicate out part of it.
2. We aim to take between a 20% to 60% ownership stake in our investee companies. We always require at least one board seat and are active in the strategic management of the company.
3. We seek to make investments into young companies in a variety of industries with the exception of life sciences. We particularly like companies that are scaleable, not capital intensive, and located in Western Canada.
