Do you require a controlling position?
Foundation Equity II does not require a controlling stake in our investments, but we do seek to have some influence in the company. Generally we require at least a 20% stake in an investee company.
Do you invest in public companies?
We will invest in a public company provided that it falls within our investment criteria and investing strategy and the merits of being public are evident. However, often it is more economical for smaller companies to stay private, as the costs of being public can erode shareholder value.
Does Foundation Equity II partner with other investment funds?
Yes, we are connected with a number of other funds and will work with other funds if it is fitting. We prefer to be the lead investor and do not require other firms to partner with us on deals.
